We carry two brands of batting – Hobbs Tuscany and Quilters Dream.  Both are excellent battings which are lovely and soft yet strong.  We can also order other battings by request.

Hobbs Tuscany Collection  

80% Cotton/20% Wool - $8.50 per yard

This batting is made with fine USA cotton and blended with the best superwash wool, which eliminates most of the shrinkage and is completely washable. It is then carded and resin bonded to help retard bearding. The 80/20 Tuscany blend batting provides superb insulation and can be quilted up to 4 inches apart. 

Hobbs Tuscany Collection

100% Unbleached Cotton - $7.50 per yard

Tuscany Unbleached Cotton is made with fine 100% USA cotton. It's carded, and specially needlepunched to prevent bunching /shifting and is completely washable. It will shrink 3-5% like all 100% cotton battings and can be quilted up to 4 inches apart. 

Quilters Dream

Dream Blend 70% Cotton 30% Poly Microfibers

Dream Blend is a fine 70% Cotton blended with 30% Fine Denier Poly Microfibers made with the highest grade of USA cleaned natural cotton and bleneded with a silky fine denier polyester microfiber.  The fibers are carded and crosslapped for a smooth consistent web that is layered on a light scrim and specially needlepunched.  Dream Blend can be quilted up to 3 inches apart.   

A king-sized batting will be required for quilts that are greater than 90” x 90”.
